Spanish Window is a community services organization located in Melbourne that provides support to Spanish-speaking people in need. They offer a variety of services, including psychological counseling, economic assistance, and help with communication barriers.

As part of my annual commitment to helping businesses improve their online presence, I volunteered my time to work with Spanish Window. I began by evaluating the logo and brand identity, with the goal of making changes that would help the company reach a wider Spanish-speaking audience.

Developing
SWCS’ identity

My initial goal was to create a new website for Spanish Window from scratch. However, during our discussions, we identified some shortcomings with the logotype, such as its application, consistency, and overall functionality. As a result, the project manager and systems engineer agreed to improve or change the logo to one that would be more versatile and appropriate for use in a variety of scenarios.

The management agreed and I started a series of meetings to clarify a more suitable brand idea.

“Andres, we want to keep the colour red in our new brand. It is a colour that we all like and it generates an idea of love and brotherhood. “

Exploring some SWCS applications

After reaching a final agreement and making a few tweaks to the proposal, the project manager emphasized social media management, as most of the contacts were via Facebook or Instagram. With this in mind, I proposed a plan for the brand’s social media presence, including layouts for Stories, normal posts, stationary, a pull-up banner, and the website.
