At J&J Design, we are an Australian boutique that strives to create unique and comfortable spaces for our customer’s homes through our luxurious and refined bathtubs and basins. As part of this endeavour, I was tasked with designing a new brand identity and website for them. This page will detail the branding design process that was used to execute the project.

Developing
J&J Design brand
Following a discussion with the client and a careful evaluation of their target demographic, it became apparent that a traditional, elegant a clean, high-end brand aesthetic was required. To this end, I experimented with rectangular shapes and bathtubs angles, linear motifs for the logo symbol (as seen in the image above). Ultimately, we concluded that is convenient use a symbol with semi bold – extended font better suited the project. Utilising an expanded font to convey strength and stability will help build trust with a new client.

The design and messaging of J&J design company are informed and shaped by its values. Maintaining a level of consistency amongst logo, copywriting, colors, typography, images, icons and illustrations is essential to ensure successful communication of these values.
Exploring multiple ways to use J&J Design mark!
The Branding Manual which was delivered to the J&J Design director contained a range of applications that enabled a clear and extensive showcase of the brand’s items. This generated innovative strategies to be contemplated for the future. Taking into account the increased concentration on social media, a selection of promotions were designed to be broadcast on both Facebook and Instagram, each of which was to make use of the brand’s identity.
Building J&J Design
online presence
I worked with the client to determine the aesthetics of their online presence, producing a few prototypes that showcased their brand, products, sales, and digital marketing activities. Once sketches of early extrapolations and designs were created, a conversation was conducted to ensure mutual comprehension.
Our objective was to assemble a brochure website that highlighted the company’s products. After the client was content with the primary design (Figma), I proceeded to Shopify and constructed some concepts in line with the initial brand plans and sketches. The main page prominently exhibited an image slider with the main website sections situated beneath it.
