Carnival (2021)

This annual event in Melbourne, Australia, calls for a visual proposal that’s dynamic and powerful—capturing the event's energy while appealing to a younger audience and drawing them into the clubs. All of this, of course, remains aligned with the brand guidelines.

Work process

The original timeline aimed to have all deliverables wrapped up in two months. However, due to some internal client challenges, the project was extended to three months to accommodate the delays.

1.   Understanding Event vision

After reviewing the brief and understanding the client’s objectives, I conducted research on the sport to gain a deeper understanding of its rules and purpose. This enabled me to generate more creative ideas for developing visual content and finally a moodboard and some drafts.

At this stage, I’ve organized the folders according to their due dates. I use Miro to gather instant feedback, which helps me clearly identify the elements I can prioritize for design. The client can add comments to my Miro board project.

I always think in terms of optimizing time. Creating a modular system that helps me to create components that I can change globally. Having a defined list of deliverables, I always go from the general to the particular.

In this phase, PR Asia provided their feedback, and I made the necessary adjustments to finalize everything and secure approval for each deliverable.
